Bryan Lee Cranston (born March 7, 1956) is an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He is best known for playing Walter White on the AMC series Breaking Bad (2008–2013), Hal on the Fox sitcom Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006), and Dr. Tim Whatley on the NBC sitcom Seinfeld (1994–1997).
